Article marketing is the best way I know of to build high quality links to your website. It can be time consuming if you are writing all of the articles yourself, but you don’t have to. You can purchase articles from content providers and place the articles yourself. I always recommend that you place the articles yourself because that way you have complete control over the article for its lifetime. The questions are how and where you should place the articles.
The first thing that has to be done is keyword research. Once you have found the keywords you are going to use then you can develop a linking strategy. There are two things you should look at the first is chaining the articles together. Basically a chain would go like this. First place the best article on your site for the first keyphrase. Then place the next article at a site like Peoplefuel.com and point it right to the article on your site using the same keyphrase as the article on your site. Next place and article at expurt.com pointing at the article you placed on peoplefuel.com. Then place an article at hubpages.com pointing to the article you placed on expurt.com of course using the same keyphrase for all of the articles. What you have just done is passed high quality link juice all the way up the chain to your site making it the authority.
For your next set of articles you should again place the best one at your site and title it with the appropriate keyphrase. And then place articles at all of the sites listed above and point them all to your site. That way you have three links pointing at the article with the right keyphrase. Both ways of linking articles together will help your site become an authority on the keyphrases you are looking to rank in the search engines for.
Most people are tempted to not chain the articles together but it helps to have a high ranking site pointing to your site that also has backlinks pointing to it. So don’t be swayed into believing that all of the links should only point to your site. Build a plan and follow it and I promise you will see results in site authority and in visitors which are the most important thing after all.
